When it comes to the insufficient height of corrugated cardboard, many people will definitely associate it with inverted corrugated cardboard. In fact, this phenomenon is different from inverted corrugation. It is recommended to investigate from several aspects such as raw materials, single tile machines, overpasses, pasting machines, conveyor belts, pressure rollers, and the rear section of tile lines, analyze the reasons and solve them.
(1) Raw materials
The corrugated paper used must meet national standards. For example, a 105g corrugated paper must meet the B-grade national standard from the original paper manufacturer. If the ring pressure of C-grade paper is not enough, it is easy to cause corrugated crushing.
The quality control work of every cardboard box factory must be done well. The company first sets the enterprise standard and then requires the supplier to do it according to the standard.
(2) Single tile machine
1) Temperature.
Is the temperature of the corrugated roller sufficient? When the temperature of the corrugated stick is not enough, the height of the corrugated produced is not enough. Generally, a well managed company will assign a dedicated person to monitor the temperature of the entire assembly line (it is recommended that the personnel responsible for the boiler do this work). When temperature problems are found, promptly notify the supervisor on duty and the machine captain, notify the mechanic to handle them, and inspect and repair all preheating cylinders every month.
2) There is dirt on the surface of the corrugated roller.
Before starting up every day, the corrugated roller is preheated and cleaned with light engine oil to remove any residue and garbage on the roller.
3) The adjustment of the gap between each roller is very important in production.
The gap between the pasting roller and the corrugated roller is usually when the corrugated roller is preheated for 30 minutes to maximize its expansion, using the thickness of one tile paper with the lowest weight in our company as the gap. It must be checked before starting up every day.
The gap between the corrugated roller and the pressure roller is generally determined according to the production situation, to ensure good adhesion.
The gap between the upper and lower corrugated rollers is quite important. If not adjusted properly, the resulting corrugated shape is irregular and is most prone to insufficient thickness.
4) The degree of wear of the corrugated roller.
Check the production status of the corrugated roller at any time to see if it needs to be replaced. It is recommended to use tungsten carbide corrugated rollers because their high wear resistance can reduce production costs. Under smooth operation, it is estimated that the cost can be recovered within 6-8 months.
(3) Crossing the paper overpass
Do not accumulate too much single tile paper on the overpass, as excessive tension can cause the single tile paper to collapse and result in insufficient cardboard thickness. It is recommended to install a computer production management system, which can effectively prevent such incidents from happening. However, many domestic manufacturers currently have it, but they do not know how to use it, which is a waste.
When choosing a manufacturer for installing paper overpasses, careful consideration should be given to avoid production being affected by the suction of the overpass. Excessive suction of the overpass can easily cause corrugated collapse. Pay attention to the rotation of each axis, and regularly check the parallelism of each axis, always paying attention.
(4) Pasting machine
1) The pressure roller on the pasting roller is pressed too low, so the gap between the pressure rollers needs to be adjusted, usually by 2-3 millimeters downwards.
2) Pay attention to the radial and axial runout of the pressure roller, it cannot be elliptical.
3) There is a great deal of knowledge in choosing a pressure rod. More and more factories are now choosing to use contact pressure rods as rollers, which is a great innovation, but there are still many situations that require operators to adjust the pressure properly.
4) The amount of paste should not be too large to avoid deformation of the ridges. It's not that the larger the amount of glue applied, the better the fit. It's important to pay attention to the formula and production process of the paste.
(5) Canvas belt
The canvas belt should be regularly cleaned once a day, and the canvas belt should be thoroughly cleaned every week. Usually, the canvas belt is soaked in water for a period of time, softened, and cleaned with a steel wire brush. Don't waste more time doing cleaning work just to save time.
In order to produce high-quality products, it is required that the breathability of the canvas belt is good. After a certain period of time, it must be replaced. Do not cause the produced cardboard to warp due to temporary cost savings, which is not worth the loss.
(6) Pressure roller
1) A reasonable number of pressure rollers must be used. The number of pressure rollers used varies in different seasons, and should be adjusted in a timely manner according to the actual situation.
2) The radial and axial directions of each pressure roller must be controlled within 2 threads, otherwise the elliptical shape of the pressure roller will crush the corrugation, resulting in insufficient thickness.
3) The gap between the pressure roller and the hot plate must be adjusted properly, leaving room for minor adjustments, which can be adjusted according to the shape (height) of the corrugated.
4) It is recommended that cardboard manufacturers use hot press plates instead of pressure rollers, provided that the operational level of employees meets the requirements of automation equipment.
(7) Rear section of tile line
The entrance and exit of the cross cutting knife must be equipped with suitable sun wheels. Generally, a Shore hardness tester is used to test the degree range from 55 degrees to 60 degrees to avoid crushing the cardboard.
